A Message From LAUSD Charter School Division - Immigration and Social Service Parent Session

In response to the changing national climate and concerns regarding immigration and other social services, this Saturday, February 25th from 9-1 PM at Manual Arts High School, LA Promise Fund will be hosting its Promise Parent College featuring information and a dialogue on immigrant rights for our Parents and Students.

Our parents, students, teachers and schools are experiencing heightened anxiety about immigration and social services in this new national climate, and we are honored to be partnering with several key agencies to provide our parents all types of information regarding immigration, implications on college going, and changes we can anticipate in social services.  We will information from:

  • United Farm Workers
  • University of California Undocumented Legal Services Center
  • Kids in Need of Defense (KIND)
  • Urban League Los Angeles

Please share this flyer with your schools, especially those in the Central, South, East and Southeast Cities.  We welcome your assistance in helping us provide key information to our parents and students!

Thank you, and please do call me with any questions or our team member coordinating:monicac@lapromisefund.org.  We look forward to equipping our families, students and schools to protect them and their continued academic success.
