CII

There is a crisis in Los Angeles. For far too many children here, violence is a daily fact of life.
50,000 reports of child abuse/neglect are filed annually– more than 400 a day, 17 an hour.
Police respond to 43,000 reports of domestic violence, many involving children.

When children are traumatized by violence, their chances of growing up to lead healthy, productive lives are threatened. They are more likely to fail in school, enter the criminal justice system, and repeat the cycle. With intervention, though, the harmful effects of violence can be mitigated and the cycle broken.

That’s why Children’s Institute, Inc. (CII) serves more than 24,000 children and their families in the city’s most challenged neighborhoods, and trains more than 9,000 professionals in the realm of child development, mental health and welfare.

CII provides healing so traumatized children can recover and lead healthy lives, while working to shape the field of children’s services through innovative research, demonstration projects, and professionally accredited training programs.

DREEM CENTER

A Dream of Changing Lives...

Founded in 1994, The Dream Center is a volunteer-driven organization that finds and fills the needs of over 80,000 individuals and families each month.

We do this through mobile hunger relief and medical programs, residential rehabilitation programs adults, a shelter for victims of human trafficking, transitional housing for homeless families, foster care intervention programs, job skills training, life skills, counseling, basic education, Bible studies and more. We work to meet people where they are at, to bring them hope and a way off the streets.

We’re also equipping others to serve. The Dream Center’s record of success has attracted urban missionaries and Christian leaders from across the U.S. and the world. As they volunteer with us, they gain insight and skills that they can take back to their own communities.

In this way, more than 100 independent Dream Centers have been launched nationally, as well as internationally. Many more churches and ministries have become more effective as we teach those who give their time and talent to do what we do. Many who once needed our services also go on to help others.

Our mission at Dusty's Riders is to provide opportunities through a recess in nature, inspiring children to define and live a dream.

Dusty's Riders provides at-risk children interactions with horses and nature. Our program takes children out of their present environment and exposes them to opportunities for personal growth. Through this interaction, children will build self-esteem and self-awareness.

YOU HAVE THE POWER TO CHANGE A CHILD'S LIFE.

Give an at-risk child a new dream and memories that last a lifetime while they learn the joy, confidence and love a horse can bring.

Put a child in a saddle and make a difference today!
